Text Messaging Terms and Conditions
Effective date: September 1, 2026
These terms govern the text messaging programs of IATSE Local 122, a labor union in San Diego, California.
The program
When you provide your mobile number and agree to receive texts, on our enrollment or referral registration forms or in your member portal account settings, Local 122 may send you text messages including:
- Job dispatch offers and responses (work call date, time, venue, and position)
- Call time and schedule changes
- Notices related to your membership, such as dues notices and meeting notices
Frequency and rates
Message frequency varies with available work; typically a few messages per week. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier's plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time. After you opt out, you will receive one final message confirming the opt-out, and no further messages will be sent to your number unless you opt back in. You can opt back in by updating your preferences in the member portal or with the office.
Receiving texts is not a condition of membership. Opting out does not affect your membership or your place in the referral process, though the office may not be able to reach you as quickly about work.

Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact the Local 122 office through ia122.org.
