Terms of Use

These terms apply to the websites IATSE Local 122 operates at ia122.org and its subdomains, including the member portal and the systems the Local uses to run the referral hall. By using them you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.
Who we are
IATSE Local 122 is a labor union chartered by the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, representing stagecraft workers in San Diego, California.
What these sites are for
They exist to run the Local: registering for the referral hall, offering and accepting work, keeping membership and financial records, reporting hours, and communicating with members and registrants. They are not a general public service and they are not an employment agency for the public.
Accounts
An account on the member portal belongs to one person and is not to be shared. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials to yourself and for what is done with your account. Tell the office promptly if you believe someone else has used it.
Access to an account is a service the Local provides to its members and registrants, and it can be suspended or ended, including when a person is no longer a member or registrant, or when an account is used in a way these terms do not allow. Ending access to an account does not by itself change anybody's membership, standing, or place in the referral process, which are governed by the Local's bylaws, the IATSE Constitution, and the rules of the Referral Hall.
Using them properly
When you use these sites, do not:
- sign in as somebody else, or let somebody else sign in as you;
- try to reach records, accounts, or systems you have not been given access to, or work around a control that limits what you can see;
- copy, export, or pass on another person's information from these sites, except as your duties for the Local require;
- interfere with how the sites run, including by scanning, overloading, or probing them without the Local's written permission;
- enter information you know to be false, in a record the Local relies on.
Security researchers are welcome to report what they find. Please read security.txt before testing anything.
The records the Local keeps
Membership, financial, work, and referral records held in these systems are the Local's records. What appears on a screen is a record of what the Local holds, and it is not a promise of work, of a dispatch, or of an amount owed or owing. Where a screen and the Local's own books or the governing documents disagree, the books and the governing documents are what count.
Your information
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. Text messaging is covered by the SMS Terms, and the consent language on our paperwork is published at Text Message Consent.
Content and marks
The text, layout, and materials on these sites belong to IATSE Local 122 or to those who licensed them to us, except for the IATSE name and emblem, which belong to the International. You may read, print, and share pages for your own use as a member, registrant, or someone doing business with the Local. Do not use the Local's name, emblem, or materials to suggest the Local endorses something it has not.
Other sites we link to
We link to employers, the International, benefit funds, and service providers. Those sites are theirs, with their own terms and their own privacy practices, and linking to one is not an endorsement of it.
Availability
We run these systems as well as we can, and they will sometimes be unavailable, incomplete, or wrong. They are provided as they are, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, the Local is not liable for loss arising from the use of these sites or from a failure of them. Nothing here limits any right you have as a member under the Local's bylaws, the IATSE Constitution, or the law.
Changes
We may change these terms. The current version is always the one posted here, with its effective date at the top.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and by federal labor law where it applies.
